Australia

1 postcard, mid/late 1920s

A single postcard of particular interest: an unused Kodak Australia PC (sepia, in fair to good condition) showing passengers ranged on the deck of an ocean liner in the mid- to late 1920s, judging by the young ladies’ and gentlemen’s hats. The liner is most likely the TSS Moreton, made in from London and Plymouth to Melbourne and Sydney, via Malta, Post Said (Suez) and Columbo. The postcard is probably from a limited issue produced for the Australia (later Aberdeen) Commonwealth Line and given to young families emigrating from Britain to Australia.
