43 postcards, 1925-1962

Sturdy Royal Mail binder with 30 covers and 13 postcards.. Most of the covers are for Air Mail letters, with appropriate printing and cachets.The earliest postcard commemorates the Paris Exposition of Decorative Art in 1923, and three later ones have an aerial theme (National Aviation Day, 1931; the Atlantic Flying Club, 1939; a map of Air France schedules, 1938; and Air Week, Nice, 1947. The latest postcard commemorates the maiden voyage of the liner, ‘France’. Five ‘serviced’ postcards with photos of French churches are almost certainly reprints. The collection is mixed bag including some relatively high value items. Matches online suggest a total retail price of c. £160.
