Belgium, France, and Holland

91 postcards, 1916-1925

Sepia photos of Flanders during and after WWI, mostly war-damaged towns and war cemeteries. Also, 14 photos of war-damaged Caen, 1944 and two of General de Gaulle. Only one postcard posted but three annotated with relevant information. The best postcard, though a macabre one, is a photo of people standing around the exhumed corpse of ‘a German soldier shot at Brussells Station as he delivered false passports’.
